Employment and Civil Rights practice group work with private and
public sector employers in matters involving state and federal law.
We assist employers in all facets of the employee/employer relationship,
including drafting and implementing policies, training on those
policies, drafting employment contracts and covenants, counseling
on operational decisions, and defending against claims before administrative
bodies, state and federal courts and in arbitration.
Our attorneys handle issues and claims in areas that include discrimination,
harassment, whistleblowing, disability and religious accommodations,
leave rights, privacy rights, wages and salary, and other matters
arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans
with Disability Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the
Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the
Employee Polygraph Protection Act, and the United States Constitution,
along with the various state counterparts. Our attorneys also have
extensive experience in counseling and representing clients in litigation
and arbitration of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements,
including the prosecution and defense of temporary restraining orders
and preliminary injunctions.
