Mr. Weiner, a partner in the firm, practices litigation and counseling, with special emphasis in employment, civil rights, and construction law. Mr. Weiner joined in forming Shaw Norton Degan, L.L.P. in May 2000, having previously practiced law in the commercial and employment law sections of the New Orleans office of Phelps Dunbar, LLP. Prior to joining Phelps Dunbar, Mr. Weiner served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable James L. Dennis, then associate justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court, presently a judge for the federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
